| 公園内には、このような奇岩がごろごろある。 上の平たい岩が被さっている下のあたりは地面も 平らな岩になっていて、部屋のようになっている。 ぼくが行ったときは、僧が数人、ここで休んでいた。 以下、現地の説明文を原文のまま掲載 Khok Ma Tao Baros (Tao Baros' Stable) − 地図2 Khok Ma Tao Baros is a natural sandstone rock shelter that its lower part was cut and shaped into an open.room. The shelter was possibly used for the purposed of buddhist religions ritual making in Dvaravadi period around 9th-11th centuries A.D. According to Usa-Baros folktale, Tao Baros had tied up his horse at this stable before going to see Nang Usa. |


| 上の写真の牛の絵のすぐ横には、こんな7人の人の姿の絵もある。 歩いている姿と説明されているが、踊っているようにも見える。 この絵は、紀元前3500〜3000年頃のものらしい。 Tham Khon (Bullock-Human Cave) − 地図3 Tham Khon is a natural sandstone shelter. One of the walls is decorated and painted with human figures in red pigment. The painting represent seven individuals walking in alignment to the same direction. The muscles of the seven individuals especially those of the lower leg are emphasised by the painter.Besides there are also some red and white straight lines painted to join the human figures. Only paintings of human figures have been encountered in the area and they have been more recently used by the villagers to tell the story of Usa-Baros. Tham Khon is archaeologically dated to circa 3,500-3,000 B.C. |



| 地面から顔を覗かせた大きな岩に掘られた井戸(水瓶)。 9〜11世紀頃に掘られたそうだが、岩に縦横2m、 深さ6mの大きな穴を、どうやって掘ったのだろう。 ここの水は、1年を通して枯れることはないそうだ。 Nang Usa's Well − 地図6 It is a man made well dug into a natural sandstone floor. The well is about 2 x 2 meters long and wide and 6 meters deep. It can store water for all the year round. It seems likely that water kept in the well was used for religions or as well as drinking. The well was possibly dug in Dravade times or around 9th-11th centuries A.D. |

こんな塔のような奇岩もある。 なんとなく、韓国慶州の古代の天文台 瞻星台(チョムソンデ)を思い出す。 高さは約10mで、窓は人工のものだ。 宗教儀式に使われたらしい。 Hoh Nang Usa (Nang Usa's Tower) 地図7 Hoh Nang Usa is the typically symbolic of Phu Phra Batha. It is a natural sandstone rock shelter shaped like a mushroom. The shelter is about 10 meters high surrounded with plain boundary stones. This natural shelter might have been used for the religions rituals. The boundary stones were stylistically dated to Daravadi period of 9th-11th century A.D. Besides the shelter is also surrounded with small holes dug into the rocky floor perhaps for light decoration at night. |
