インストール手順 (4.0)

$ tar xvfz linux-ar-40.tar.gz $ cd linux-ar-40/ILINXR.install $ su # ./INSTALL # exit

more でライセンスを最後まで読み、q で終了。 ライセンスに同意するかの質問に accept と答える (入力する) 。 展開したファイルはいらないので削除しておく。

$ cd ../.. $ rm -rf linux-ar-40/

続いて日本語フォント。Adobe のサイトから jpnfont.tar.gz をダウンロード しておく。

$ tar xvfz jpnfont.tar.gz $ cd JPNKIT $ su # ./INSTALL # exit

同じく more でライセンスを最後まで読み、q で終了。 ライセンスに同意するかの質問に accept と答える (入力する) 。

うーん。いいのかな？ これも展開したファイルを削除しておく。

$ cd .. $ rm -rf JPNKIT

起動してみると、環境変数を LANG=C としないと Segmentation Violation で落ちるので、次のような alias を切っておく。

alias acroread='LANG=C /usr/local/Acrobat4/bin/acroread'

しかし、この状態で (一旦 X を終了し . .bashrc してから X を再起動) WindowMaker-0.61.1 の AppIcon に acroread と登録しても、起動できない。
# Could not execute command "acroread" となる。
LANG=C /usr/local/Acrobat4/bin/acroread と登録してもダメ。
/usr/local/Acrobat4/bin/acroread と登録すると、起動はするけど落ちちゃう。

うーん。WindowMaker では PATH は見るけど alias は使えないのかなぁ。 しようがない。/usr/local/Acrobat4/bin/acroread スクリプトの先頭に export LANG=C を入れることにする。 これで、WindowMaker には/usr/local/Acrobat4/bin/acroread と登録すれば OK 。

LANG=C の設定がいらない以外、4.0 に同じ。
