王と妃は幸福な結婚生活を送っていました。妃は懐妊し、出産がまじかになったマーヤ妃は、生まれ故郷である

デーバダハへ行きたい気持ちを王に話、王もその希望を聞き入れ必要なものの準備を命じました。

又デーバーダハへ行く道を整備させ飾りをつけることも命じました。

The King and the Queen led a happy married life together. In the course of time Queen Maha Maya conceived.

When child-birth was near, the Queen requested permission from the King, to go to the city of Devadaha-her

native city. King Suddhodana was quite pleased. He ordered his officials, to make the necessary arrangements for the

journey and to have the roads cleaned and duly deckes.
