ozushi
A O-Zushi is a minature Shinto Shrine or a Buddhist Temple.

For many hundreds of years the Japanese people have prayed for their family's, community's and country's peace and prosperity. The household Shrines and Temples (Butsudan {household Buddhist Temple}, Kamidana {household Shinto Shrine} are collectively known as O-Zushi). These are an intregal part of this practise. Thus the private and public Shinto Shrines and Buddhist Temples have been maintained so as to keep them in good condition for the various seasonal rituals and festivals. In keeping with this tradition I hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and happy and that you and your community members work together in a cordial manner.

Most of the pieces shown on this web sight are about a maximum of 2 meters by 2 meters in size.

When communicating with me via e-mail please note that I am using a computerized translation device since my ability in English is very limited. I do have a Canadian friend who will help us commmunicate if necessary.

In addition to the Shrines and Temples shown above, if you are interested in obtaining traditional Japanese furniture, tatami mats or other things I can be of assistance.

Your comments and feedback are welcome:@
